Zubaida Bai is widely regarded as a thought leader and innovator who has designed and supported sustainable solutions for underserved populations, with a specific focus on gender. Zubaida Bai put her passion for bettering the lives of women and girls to work founding her company, ayzh, in 2009. After leading the organization for 12 years she is now serving on its board.

Zubaida Bai brings expertise in risk and compliance when navigating a global market landscape. She is currently serving as the CEO for Grameen Foundation USA, an NGO working to provide access to information and resources with the hopes of eliminating poverty and hunger. Prior to joining Grameen Foundation, she was the Managing Director of Social Ventures at CARE.

Zubaida Bai’s work thus far has been focused on improving women’s and newborn’s health and addressing unmet needs in Emerging and Frontier Markets at the intersection of Business, Gender Equity, and Engineering. She serves on several advisory boards, including Miller Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, TOMS Shoes, and FutureXO. She also serves on the Board of Advisors of MedTech startups such as SISU Global Health and ayzh Inc

She holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. She was also conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree by Claremont Graduate University in 2018.
