Alexis Heaton believes in the power of data and insights to improve access to healthcare for all. She has nearly 20 years of experience in supply chain management, market-dynamics and data analysis for public health systems. Her areas of expertise include conducting data-driven market dynamics research to inform health systems strengthening, market analysis, and pharmaceutical product procurement. Prior to joining SEMA, Alexis worked at JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) for 14 years, providing dynamic technical guidance to a diverse set of clients and stakeholders on supply chain and market assessment projects, working at every level of the health system, from engagement with manufacturers on planning and procurement to designing information systems to support community health workers. She has also been instrumental in establishing and guiding several multi-stakeholder coordination activities aimed at improving data visibility and collaborative decision making to promote the continuous availability of family planning products to clients whenever and wherever they seek them. Alexis earned her master’s degree at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
